Botanical Printing on Fabric

Join me for a fun-filled afternoon of botanical dyeing. During this 2 hour class I'll be explaining 3 different processes: Bundle dyeing (steaming plants and flowers onto textiles), Eco Printing (transferring whole plant images) and Tatakizome (hammering shapes onto fabrics). I'll explain which fabrics to use and how to pre-treat them using the method of scouring and mordanting. You'll be able to experiment with different plants, and dye your own piece to take home.

All materials will be provided plus a dyeing booklet to take home for reference.

Limited to 6-8 places.
